Week of 11/11/19 - 11/15/19

N Granese is working on completing their construction in the Phase 2 area. The Roundy Street water main will be tied in on Wednesday (11/13). After Wednesday (11/13) the water bypass should be removed except for the area between Thorndike St and Vestry St. There will be seven properties that still need to be tied over from the bypass. On Friday (11/15) the bypass should be fully removed. Comcast will be moving a section of conduit in front of City Hall on Friday (11/15). N Granese still needs to install a small section of new water mains down several side streets within the Phase 1 and 2 portions of the project. A link to that project can be found here.

The sidewalk contractor (J Marchese) is constructing the odd side of the road and will continue demolition of old sidewalks, setting new curb lines and installation of new streetscape features. The plan for the week is to finish the sidewalks between the St. Mary’s Church bump out and Winter Street. Once this section of sidewalk is complete the contractor will be finished until the Spring of 2020. The road will also be reclaimed and paved next year as well.

Expect delays and proceed with caution. The City of Beverly puts a high priority on the safety of the construction workers and police officers. Let ‘em work! Let ‘em live!
